How does one deal with a cheat and a habitual liar?
Q. I know of somebody who refuses to answer questions directly. This person has a dominant personality;the type who always wants to be in charge of the situation. She is a single mother with five kids struggling to make a living. She has a PhD degree but cheated her way to earn her MA. Some people pity her because of her situation and she takes advantage of this to explain her her inneficiency at work.

A. The best thing to do when confronted with someone you don't approve of, for whatever reason, is to avoid them. Unless you're forced to acknowledge them for whatever reason, then simply avoid them altogether and save yourself the trouble. Whether or not other people pity this person is their choice to make, just as it's your choice to stand by your opinion of her and 'not' pity her.
